Dreams going down the drain.
It is lust, it is want.
It is ever-grieving for the one that haunts you
in your sleep,
in your soul
down the road with no control.
The path that swerves,
the endless flight.
The ever-running for your life.
Hidden in shadows is the one that wants them all,
is the lover of the lost and confused.
The secret guardian of all who move.
In the shadows of the morn,
he waits without contempt.
Striving for the ones that died
to bring vengeance from the rest.

It is a poem of sorts for Transgender Day of Remembrance (Nov. 20). Too many have lost their life for not fitting to the socially accepted 'norm'. Too long is the wait for the day when all can exist in peace.
